Specifically designed for super edge strength.
YOU HAVE USED THE REST, NOW OWN THE BEST!
These are the drill bits for hardened steel when HSS and cobalt won’t cut it. This 29pc solid carbide drill bit set runs from 1/16″ to 1/2″ by 64ths and is built for drilling hardened steel from 42 to 65 RC. They’re the go-to drill bits for broken bolts, snapped taps and broken extractors. They also work as drill bits for stainless steel, titanium and Inconel, and for drilling hard metal that dulls standard bits. The straight flute carbide drill bits have a 140° notched split point that starts clean without walking. Every bit is made in the USA and kept in a steel index case.

Applications
- Broken bolt and extractor removal: drill out broken bolts, studs and snapped extractors.
- Hardened and heat-treated steel: drill steels from 42 to 65 RC.
- Stainless, chrome and nickel alloys: heat-treated stainless, titanium, Inconel and other exotic materials.
- Cast iron and abrasive materials: hold an edge in materials that wear down HSS and cobalt.
- Precision holes: reamer-type finishes with a +0.0000 / -0.0005 tolerance.
Usage Tips
- Carbide is very hard but brittle. Use a rigid setup, such as a drill press, mill or lathe, with the work clamped.
- Keep the drill straight. Side load or rocking can chip or snap the bit.
- Keep runout low and the bit short in the chuck.
- Keep a steady feed. Letting the point rub in hardened steel dulls the edge.
- Use coolant or cutting fluid.

Why Buy From DrillBitWarehouse.com
Formerly sold as Terminator Carbide, our carbide drills are now the X Series: XF for straight flute and XNF for twist drills. We stock Terminator XF straight flute carbide drill bits individually in fractional, number, letter and metric sizes, plus the XF13 and XF115 sets, so you can replace a single size or build out a full set.
WHY XF SERIES
XF Series represents straight flute carbide drills built for strength, precision, and control in hard materials. When twist drills fail or wander, XF drills maintain stability and produce clean, accurate holes.
